Editors Review

  • Instant decision pre-qualification process does not affect credit score
  • Previous bankruptcy is not a problem

Cons

  • $35-$99 (dependent on credit worthiness) annual fee, you will get your annual fee offer after applying for the card
  • High 23.9% regular APR

Verdict

Not a bad card for people with a bad credit score or after bankruptcy - one of a few offers for that category of consumers. Pre-approval helps to apply with no hassle. The main purpose of the card is rebuilding credit by paying on time and reporting to 3 major credit bureaus. A minimum credit line that the majority of applicants get is $300, and your annual fee will be subtracted from that sum on the moment of card activation.

If you didn’t have credit problems in the past, consider another card (e.g. Capital One Platinum) that doesn’t charge you an annual fee. Most options for bad credit are secured cards that usually have even higher annual fees and interest.
