Editors Review

Pros

  • good low end APR of 9.90%
  • no penalty APR
  • interest-earning deposit

Cons

  • Available only for military members and their families
  • $35 annual fee - slightly more than best offers

Verdict

One of our favorite picks for a secured card. It has everything that a good secured card should have - a grace period, an interest-earning deposit, modest annual fee and a good starting 9.90% APR.

The only real drawback - and it is an important one - you should have ties to the military in order to be eligible to apply.
