Editors Review

There is a $49 annual fee Travel Rewards card and a no annual fee Flex Points card with slightly different package (the bank decides on your application whether you are eligible for a higher rank Travel Rewards card or not)

Pros

  • no annual fee option
  • up to 2x points on selected category

Cons

  • mediocre rewards rate
  • foreign transaction fee

Verdict

Not the most interesting card. Rewards rate is mediocre even on a higher-ranking Travel Rewards card. On a Flex Points card, it is just 0.5 points per dollar, which is really low.
Annual fee makes the offer even less desirable.
Have a look at US Bank Cash Plus card instead - it offers 5% cash back on 2 categories on your choice and 2% on 1 category of choice.
