Verdict and Alternatives

The card is very close competitor to the Barclaycard Arrival Plus, but the later can offer 10% miles back on travel but in return has greater annual fee ($89 vs. $59). 

Either way, Capital One Venture is among the best travel cards today. If you do not like an annual fee, there is a Venture One version without any.
